Fill pinatas through the top opening or fill flap. Standard pinatas hold about 2–3 pounds of fillers; larger pinatas hold 4–6 pounds. Mix wrapped candy with small non-candy items like stickers, temporary tattoos, mini toys, bouncy balls, and small novelties so every child grabs a variety. Most 3D decorations ship flat and expand quickly. Honeycomb balls and tissue fans: open along pre-folded creases and clip or tab together in under a minute each. Tissue pom-poms: separate and fluff each tissue layer by hand, about 2–3 minutes each. Paper lanterns: pop open and insert the wire frame, under a minute. Standing cutouts and centerpieces: minimal assembly, often just unfolding. Plan a few minutes per piece for fluffing and shaping — a full ceiling or backdrop of 3D decorations takes 30–60 minutes to set up.

All three 3D decorations are versatile. Ceiling-hung: honeycomb balls, paper lanterns, tissue pom-poms, and hanging swirls suspended at varied heights for an overhead canopy effect. Wall-mounted: half-fans, 3D paper flowers, and dimensional pieces taped or pinned to create a backdrop. Tabletop: 3D centerpieces and standing decor placed directly on tables. Many events use all three layers together — ceiling decorations above, a 3D backdrop wall behind the cake table, and dimensional centerpieces on the tables.
